A musician’s musician, bassist Christian McBride was lured away from Juilliard to continue his education on the road, playing with jazz greats like Bobby Watson and Freddie Hubbard. The experience transformed him into one of the most respected figures in jazz. McBride is also a dedicated advocate for young talent and music education. Fueled by a boundless love of swing, the Christian McBride Big Band’s 2017 release Bringin’ It won the Grammy for Best Large Ensemble Jazz Album.
