The Royal Philharmonic concert scheduled for Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 8PM will not take place in person.  Instead, we are pleased to invite current ticket holders to watch a free live stream of the concert on the same date at the same time.  The Royal Philharmonic will perform Britten's Four Sea Interludes from “Peter Grimes” and pianist Olga Kern will join the orchestra for Grieg's Piano Concerto in A Minor,  Op. 16.

Britain’s world-famous orchestra the Royal Philharmonic is celebrated for the soaring beauty of its sound. This pre-eminent ensemble returns to The Soraya with an all-star program of beloved Romantic compositions, including Sir Edward Elgar’s glorious Enigma Variations and selections from Benjamin Britten’s soaring opera Peter Grimes. Russian-American pianist Olga Kern, recognized as one of her generation’s great artists, joins to perform Edvard Grieg's dramatic and beloved Piano Concerto in A Minor. Passion, versatility, and uncompromising artistic standards are hallmarks of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra as they celebrate their 75th anniversary year.

Honoring former Soraya Ambassador Marlene Bane at this performance.
