One of the world’s truly great chamber orchestras returns to our Great Hall, led by Soraya favorite Joshua Bell. The final performance at The Soraya before the COVID lockdown, in March 2020, was Bell and this justifiably famous ensemble performing Beethoven’s powerful Ninth Symphony. Two years later they return, bringing us full circle with the sensational Bell making his 8th appearance here to perform works by Florence Price, Dvôrak, and Mendelssohn. Bell is one of the most celebrated violinists of our era, and has performed with every major orchestra on six continents in his 30-plus year career. He was chosen to succeed the immortal Sir Neville Marriner as Music Director of the revered Academy of St. Martin in the Fields in 2011.
